Make Health Happen Working to Improve Food Access

The Make Health Happen coalition, a partnership between the East Side Health District and the University of Illinois Extension, is working to improve food access in East St. Louis. The city has 42 corner stores and only two grocery stores. The coalition is working with five of the corner stores including Bond Ave Fish Market and East Side Meat Market to offer more fresh fruit and vegetables.
